Mauricio Salazar is a passionate filmmaker who, for the past 10 years of his 15-year career has specialized in creating incredible cinematic images for films and productions no matter what the camera. Some of his most iconic work was created with Canon DSLRs and presented in the United States through television networks such us Univision, Hope Channel, 3ABN and around the world through Satellite Channel Nuevo Tiempo. His use of Canon DSLRs to shoot films such us Campeon, Rosas y Espinas, Naked Ashes, impacted the hearts of hundreds of people with a powerful message of change and hope. His first premiere had a sold out of 1500 people in all cities that was presented. Mauricio has kept up with the advent of newer tools, which are constantly changing. He moved to the world on digital cinema when he stared using the world renown camera Red Epic. This became a game changer in his career as he pursued his passion to write, act, direct, and shoot the movie Conflictus. He currently owns and is available for hire with a Sony EX3, Canon 5DM II, Sony A7rII, Red Epic and many others. Independent projects are key to Mauricio and he splits his time between bigger projects and small independent ones. One of his most successful independent projects has been opening an art school called Valdense Artes, where he teaches acting and filmmaking workshops.
