Idalia Ventura
Assistant/Coordinator
Idalia Ventura was born November 7, 1994 in Fairfax, Va. Coming from an interesting background, Idalia is both Syrian and Salvadorian. She has a deep passion for acting, modeling, dancing and soccer. Her journey in acting began when she was merely 11 years old, dancing at 15, modeling at age 17 and playing soccer since she was 10. Despite all of Idalia’s hobbies acting is her highlight. When Idalia discovered her love for acting she decided to take acting classes right away. She initiated the enrollment of her very first acting classes with the Agency John Robert Powers located in Rockville, MD. It was a tough process, consisting of calling in to the radio station to schedule an audition, practicing for a few weeks on facial expressions, meeting the talent scouts, waiting nervously at home for a call back after the audition the day afterwards, then receiving it and at the scout’s request having to go back for a second audition, and finally after a thorough interview with a scout she received the acceptance into the acting school. Her mother saw the excitement in Idalia’s eyes and supported her through the whole process of breaking into the industry and then, continued with her support every step of the journey. Idalia has been involved in multiple talent search events since then, where hundreds of people gather for a weekend to shine in what they love to do. Idalia has had the privilege of finding three agencies through these events. These agencies include Victor’s International Model and Talent Management located in New Orleans, MPC Model located in Florida and Roman Candle Casting located in NY. Through her acting and modeling career she has participated as an extra in the movie John Wick 2, worked two hair shows with companies Alterna and Pureology, worked as a promoter for Univision, involved in two pageants, participated in three music videos and done two commercials where she took on the role as the main actress. The turning point in her acting career was her acceptance into Valdense Artes “Top 10 Best”. Through this wonderful school of acting, Idalia learned many techniques to acting she hadn’t before. Some of those techniques include the following: Crying on camera, film script analysis, detachment of one’s self and the importance of breathing. Through Valdense Artes Idalia was privileged to participate in the short film “Navidad en le Frontera,” “La Penotiere” hair commercial, and “Tus Quince Años” music video. Her awards in Valdense Artes include “Best Acting Talent” in the short Film “Navidad en la Frontera,” best monologue award, and best journal (in which one summarizes in a small video all they learn from each class). Through Valdense Artes she really grew as an actress. Idalia shares with us, “I discovered myself.” It has been a long and obstacle filled journey for Idalia but thanks to Valdense Artes she has blossomed as a phenomenal, self-driven, and ambitious actress. She shares, “I will always be grateful for all the opportunities Valdense Artes has opened for me. No matter where I went I would find many closed doors, but Valdense Artes believed in me and put me on the screen. Thank you to the director, Mauricio Salazar, for helping push my dreams into motion. I never knew which area of acting I wanted to set my energy towards but after working with Valdense Films through the Valdense Artes school of acting I discovered a deep and profound admiration for movies. Films have become my inspiration and the beauty of sending positive messages through them, my life’s purpose.”
